Obituary for Robert Maxwell Howard

Robert Maxwell “Max” Howard, 43, of Mary Esther, Florida died of complications from a stroke on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2023. Max was born in Orlando, Florida in 1979 and moved to Panhandle area in 2009. He is a faithful Christian who loved his Lord.

Max was a Navy veteran who served as a Navigation ET on the USS Alaska, SSBN-732.

He grilled in the yard, took camping trips, went kayaking and canoeing. He flew kites, raised corn snakes as a hobby and enjoyed doing nothing at all. He nurtured three children in his very own special way. He told the best jokes and had the most infectious laugh. Max was a hard-core movie and music buff! He had a deep love for his family including a pair of Dalmatians.

Max is survived by his dad, Bob of Milton; his two moms, Sue of Milton and Kathryn of Morgantown, West Virginia; his brother, Joe of Jackson, Mississippi; and his sister, Melissa Perkins, Lake Worth, Florida.

A celebration and remembrance event may be planned for family and friends. We will share the date, location and time when known. We wish to thank everyone who contributed to his life and happiness through their friendship. We are most grateful and humbled by the prayers, thoughts and support given by so many during this devastating time.

Max was cared for by the angels in the WF Hospital ICU and Covenant Hospice. They have our most heartfelt gratitude!
