Obituary for Sharon Johnson Holley

Sharon Holley was born July 8th, 1952, in East Prairie, Missouri to Alice Johnson and Don Johnson.

As a child, Sharon grew up in southeastern Missouri in a small town called East Prairie. Then moving to Pace, Florida as a teenager. She graduated from Milton High School in 1970.

Sharon worked in a few different careers. She worked as a certified kitchen designer in the 80’s in Pensacola. She then pursued a career as a clerk in the city of Milton, eventually working her way up as a code enforcement officer for the city. She attended night classes after work at PJC and earned a business degree in 1998.

After her retirement from the city of Milton she was appointed to a city council seat for the city of Milton. After finishing her appointed term, she ran during the next election and won the same seat she was previously appointed to. During her second term she was forced to step down due to health concerns.

She has impacted countless lives in the city of Milton and surrounding communities. She would give you the shirt off her back if you only asked. She had a heart of gold and will truly be missed by many.

She is preceded in death by both of her parents and two siblings, Randall Johnson, and Joyce Wiggins.

She is survived by her loving husband, Donald Holley, of 49 years. Her 2 sons Jeremy and wife Carrie Holley of Pensacola and her son Michael Holley of Milton. Her two grandchildren, Bray and Brea Holley. Her sisters, Gail Roach and Shauna Benton and her brothers “J-R” Benton, and Todd Benton.

She has two grandchildren that are her everything still today. Those two grandchildren called her “Me-Me”. The family would like to thank all the nurses, doctors, and staff at Baptist Hospital- Pensacola.
