Sharon "Sherryberry" Irene (Powers) Chadwick
1942 - 2021
On June 3, 2021, Sharon passed away at the age of 78, following a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Sharon (our Mom, Mimi, Shari, and Sherryberry) was loved by so many, who will profoundly miss her kind spirit and spark of humor in her blue eyes. She was a loving Wife and dear Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and a caring friend.
Sharon was born on July 28, 1942, in Tampa, Florida; from there, she explored the east coast from Maine and Rhode Island to Bermuda and Baltimore as a proud Navy wife, before settling in Pensacola, Florida in 1971. She truly enjoyed her many years spent with Malena Morehouse, her closest friend and children’s Godmother, at Malena's Mini School where she taught 3- and 4-year-olds. Her best memories were made laughing with her family and sharing her exceptional gardening skills.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Chadwick; daughter, Carla Ann Chadwick; mother, Mary Brown; brother, Steven Powers; sister, Diane "Dee" Holly; and her dear friend, Sybil Engelbert.
She is survived by her sons, Derrick Chadwick and Stephen Chris Chadwick (Kate); granddaughters, Dezurea Chadwick, Amber Kirk (Clay), Jamie Turner (Taylor), and Haley McMillian; and great-grandchildren, Riley, Sam, Presley, and Jack.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at 11:00 am with service to follow at noon; these will be hosted at Trahan Family Funeral Home located at 60 Industrial Blvd, Pensacola, FL 32503.
