Sonya Mitchell
April 19, 1961 – April 25, 2021
Sonya Mitchell, 60, of Lucedale, Mississippi, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021. She was born to the late, Jimmy L. Williams and Yvonne H. Williams on April 19, 1961.
Sonya is survived by her husband, Danny L. Mitchell; two children, Daniel L. Mitchell Jr. and Jim T. Mitchell; five grandchildren, Kayla Mitchell, Jim Mitchell Jr., Nevaeh Mitchell, Tinleigh Mitchell, and Brooklynn Ray; and a number of other loving relatives and close friends.
Sonya will be joining in heaven her father and mother; two brothers, Tony Williams and Dale Williams; also, her grandson, Kaleb Mitchell.
She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, a proud Florida Gator fan who also loved going to Talladega to watch the Nascar races and enjoyed nights gambling at the Casino.
Sonya was a wonderful woman that was loved, is missed and will always be cherished.
Funeral Services will be held on May 3, 2021 at 11:00 am at Trahan Family Funeral Home. The family will accept family and friends beginning with the visitation at 11:30 am. Her service will follow at 12:30 pm, she will be laid to rest Eastern Gate on 9 Mile Road.
