Obituary for Thomas Wesley Patterson III

Thomas Wesley Patterson, III of Milton, Florida peacefully passed away February 23, 2023 at the age of 73.

Tom was born December 16, 1949 in Prescott, Arizona to Thomas Wesley Patterson II and Eva Marie (Solomon) Patterson. Tom was a Milton High School graduate.

Tom was the owner and operator of Patterson’s Heat and Air founded here in Santa Rosa County where he was often known for his pro bono work for those in need.

Tom had a passion for classic cars, through his life with his wife, Alice, by his side; together, they restored several classics that are, to this day, enjoying a second life. Tom also had a passion for the great outdoors and wildlife. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his brothers, his daughters, grandchildren, nieces and nephews as well as some of his closest friends.

Tom was preceded in death by his infant son, Lee Patterson; father, Thomas Wesley Patterson, II; mother, Eva Marie Hutchinson; stepfather, Charles Mack “Hutch” Hutchinson; brother, Paul Howard Patterson; and nephew, Chase Thomas Harris.

He is survived by his caring and loving wife, Alice Patterson; his 4 daughters: Sherri (David) Crane, Diana (Greg) Grimes, Katie Patterson and Emily (Justin) Overstreet. Tom was also blessed with 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings: Roy Patterson, Pearl Patterson, Ray (Lynda) Patterson, and Marie (Jesse) Harris; numerous nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Hickory Hammock Baptist Church with visitation at 5:00 p.m. and service at 6:00 p.m. with Bro. Carl Gallops and Bro. Brandon Gallops officiating.

He will be greatly missed by many and forever be in our hearts.
