Obituary for Travis Roy Barlow
Travis R. Barlow was born on July 31st, 1946 to Marvin Rastus Barlow and Willie Bell Meyers-Barlow in Jay, Florida.
He served in the United States Army and loved to travel.
On December 16th, 1966 he married his love, Shirley Ann Council; they had four beautiful children Ronald Wayne Barlow, Donnie Roy Barlow, Richard Allen Barlow, and Tammy Renee Barlow. They resided in Leesburg, Georgia. Shirley went to be with the Lord January 5, 2006.
Travis was remarried to Bernice Joy Lail in 2013 and received two step-children, Joyce Ann Hawthorne and David Gay, as well as 3 grandchildren, in this union.
Travis went to be with the Lord April 4, 2023 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley; his parents, Marvin and Willie; as well as his step-son, David Gay.
He leaves behind a wife, Bernice “Cat” Barlow; and children; Ronald Barlow of Panama City Beach, Florida, Donnie & Jennifer Barlow of Commerce, Georgia, Richard & Kelley Barlow of Jacksonville, Florida, Tammy & Larry Cannon of Leesburg, Georgia, and Joyce Ann & Wayne Hawthorne of Jay, Florida; 12 Grandchildren; and 9 Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral service begins at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Trahan Family Funeral Home, Milton Chapel.
