Obituary for Valentino Spinelli
Val was born in Putignano, Italy. He immigrated to the United States in 1954. He grew up in Queens, NY where he lived until he joined the US Navy in 1969. He was a Christian man who loved his family, friends & life in general. He never met a stranger. He was a member of CMA and loved to be on his motorcycle.
Val is preceded in death by his father, Giovanni Spinelli; mother, Rosa Giannocarro; oldest son Valentino Spinelli, Jr; and his granddaughter Isis Marie Nelson.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years Camille Spinelli; daughter Debby Sue Oakes (Brian); son Willard Joseph Spinelli (Michelle); and his youngest daughter Katie Rose Spinelli. He has four stepchildren, Alf M. Nelson (Ali), Ronny M. Nelson, Theresa L. Nelson, and Jerry R. Mitchell, 16 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
The family wishes to thank everyone for the outpouring of love, sympathy & condolences that have come. The family also requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to CMA "RUN FOR THE SON", a cause that Val truly believed in.
