Obituary for William Davis

William (Will) F. Davis
1954 – 2021

William (Will) F. Davis, 66, of Pensacola, FL passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 15, 2021. Will was born on March 15, 1954 in Pensacola, FL, the son of Fred Davis and Leontine Matheny.
He grew up in Myrtle Grove and attended Little Flower Catholic School. Will was a graduate of J.M. Tate High School. Growing up he was a very adventurous person, enjoying horseback riding, water skiing, surfing, dirt bikes, motorcycles, and scuba diving.

Will was a hard-working, multi-talented master craftsman. The things he could craft with his hands are truly remarkable. He was loyal to so many and always willing to help others, even complete strangers. Will was full of knowledge and enjoyed sharing that knowledge with others. He loved animals, especially dogs, and recently rescued a black lab, Baker. That sweet boy was by his side until he passed.

Will traveled to Jacksonville, FL regularly to spend time with his daughter, son-in-law, and new grandson, Davis. He beamed with pride over that little boy. Will still enjoyed paddling out, watching football, and Professional Bull Riding.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents.

Will leaves behind his beloved daughter, Jennifer (Ryan) Withrow; cherished grandson, Davis; sister, Deborah Freeman; nephew, Ben (Cheri) Martin; niece, Kristina Freeman; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as friends.

The family will mourn Will in a private memorial. A Celebration of Life and a paddle out will be held on Pensacola Beach in August.
