Obituary for William Nelson Girton
William Nelson “Bill” Girton, Jr, 62, of Pensacola, Florida passed away on June 21, 2022 at Baptist Hospital. He was born in Trenton, New Jersey to his parents, Joan Castle and David Pyle.
He graduated from Hamilton High in Trenton, NJ. Bill joined the Navy in 1978. He loved the Florida Gators and New York Giants Football. His true passion was cooking.
Bill is preceded in death by his father, David Pyle; grandparents, William Chadwick and Joan Abiko; mother-in-law, Joann Green.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Wilma Girton; sons, Paul (Karen) Girton and David (Stella) Girton; mother, Joan Castle; sisters, Ann Girton D’Ambrosiom Sue Pyle and Sarah Mickelson; brothers, Thomas (Lisa) Pyle, David (Nancy) Pyle; granddaughter, Kennedy Girton; grandsons, Logan and Landon Rofkahr and Everett Girton.
A Graveside Service for Bill will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 We will leave Trahan Family Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. with the service to follow at Barrancas National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
