Obituary for William Leslie Holifield

William Leslie “Bill” Holifield 85, of Pensacola, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, October 29th, 2023. He was a graduate of Pensacola High School Class of 1956, and a life-long member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He was deeply rooted in his faith.

William “Bill” to friends and family worked for 35 yrs. at Muldon Ford downtown Pensacola, then at Key Ford in Car City, and Orville Beckford in Milton, Florida. He also worked at the Sacred Heart Hospital Valet dept.
William “Bill” loved golf, bowling, and he was an avid Dodgers and Lakers fan. He was also a “Big” fan of the late Arnold Palmer. But most of all, William “Bill” was dedicated to and loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Ann Holifield; his parents, Thelma and Dudley Holifield; sisters, Gloria Jones and Madeline Anderson; brothers, Buddy Cope Sr. and Dudley Holifield, Jr.; brothers-in-law, Carl Brockman, Lloyd K Bracewell, and Johnny Anderson; sisters-in-law, Faye Cope, Janice “Sue” Bracewell; and his first daughter-in-law, Cindy Shelton-Holifield.

He is survived by his two sons, Timothy (Lori) Ray Holifield and Richard Allen Holifield; his sister, Thelma Brockman; several cousins, nephews, and nieces; two granddaughters, Amber (Casey) Brown; Kelsey Holifield, a grandson, Gabriel Ethridge; and four great grandchildren, Cameron, Serenity, Mary Ruth; and Regina Brown.

William Leslie “Bill” Holifield will be missed by many, but many are “blessed” to have known “Bill” who was Daddy, Paw Paw, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, and for so, so many, Friend!
