William Jonas “Joe” McKenzie, 79 and his wife, April, passed away in their home last week. Joe was born in Louisville, KY, and moved to Pensacola with his parents, William H. “Mack” and Ruby Dowell McKenzie, when he was 10 years old. He attended Turner Lee Day Elementary School, Warrington Junior High, and Pensacola Technical High School.

William is survived by his daughter, Gina M. (Stephen) Comeaux; his son, William Jonas “Joey” McKenzie, Jr.; his grandson, Christopher Comeaux; sister, Mary Jane M. (Duke) Norred; uncle, Bill W. (Sandy) Dowell; a nephew; also, many cousins and friends.

Joe was the owner of Jonas Enterprises, where he sold industrial supplies for many years. He was a member of Northview Baptist Church.

The memorial service will be held at Trahan Family Funeral Home on 60 Industrial Blvd on Saturday, June 26, 2022 at 3:00pm.
