Obituary for William Harold Morgan

1935-2022

William “Harold” Morgan, 87, of Pensacola passed away on July 31, 2022, at the home of his daughter Renee in Gulf Breeze, FL where he lived for a little over a year.

Harold was born on May 24, 1935, in Opp, Alabama. He is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Sandra L. Morgan, and his parents, Jessie Lee Morgan, and Ruby Lee Morgan all of Pensacola, FL.

Harold was a long-time member and a deacon at Olive Baptist Church. He was a wonderful artist, loved playing golf and coaching a woman’s “A” league slow pitch softball team and teaching Sunday school. He was the first person hired at Westinghouse Pensacola Plant in 1967 and worked there until he retired.

His Survivors include: his children Wm. H. (Hal) Morgan, Jr. (Becky) of Seminole, AL and Renee Samay of Gulf Breeze, FL; grandchildren, Nicholas Morgan (Becky) of Seminole, AL, Adam Morgan (Lily Zhang) of Danville, CA, Braden Samay (Jill Dixon) of Gulf Breeze, FL and Leanna Samay of Gulf Breeze, FL; great-grandchildren Emma Morgan, Micah Morgan, Liam Morgan, Marley Samay, Murphy Morgan and Holly Samay.

Trahan Family Funeral home is in charge of all arrangements.

The family will have a private service at a later date.
