Obituary for Norma J Woods

Norma J  Woods
Norma J. Woods, 79, of Milton, went to be with her precious Lord and Savior on November 17, 2017 following a brief illness.
She was born in Terra Haute, Indiana on December 10, 1937. Norma graduated from Wiley High School and attended Bob Jones University for two years. She met her husband, Howard, in Terra Haute and were married in 1957.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ruth Irons; one brother, William, and four sisters, Theresa, Melvina, Maxine, and Hester.She is survived by her loving husband, Howard Woods, to whom she was married for 60 years; her sons Eric (Cathy) Woods; Kent (Tabitha) Woods; six grandchildren, Erica, Brandon, Ethen, Deric, Bethany, and Hayden.
She served for many years in the business and front offices of Santa Rosa Christian School. Her deep concern for the welfare of others was always apparent. She was known as a prayer warrior for the people of Grace Bible Church, students and faculty of Santa Rosa Christian School, missionaries, pastors, friends, neighbors, and family. She also sang in the church choir and ladies ensemble for many years.
A memorial service will be held at Grace Bible Church of Milton, 6331 Chestnut Street, at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, November 22nd. Pastor Tod Brainard, officiating.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff, nurses and doctors of West Florida Hospital and the Covenant Hospice Inpatient and Palliative Care Center at West Florida Hospital.
