Mildred Rudd Newton, age 92, gained her heavenly wings on Friday, January 26, 2018. She was born January 15, 1926 in Sharonville, Ohio. Her family moved to Orlando, Florida and she later met her husband Charlie. They married on November 23, 1945 and later settled in Pensacola.
Mildred lived life to the fullest. She was always humming and singing. She loved her family dearly. She loved church and enjoyed bingo and playing the piano. She had many talents including music, sewing, crafts, as well as cooking and baking.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Charlie Newton and her grandson Scottie Newton.
Mildred is survived by her three children; Dickie (Betty) Newton, Linda Nelson and Edwina (DC) Bearden. She has 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton has been entrusted with arrangements.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 03, 2018 at the funeral home. Visitation will be from 12:00- 2:00 p.m. with Service to follow at 2:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Dickie Newton, DC Bearden, Jason Bearden, Daniel O’Ferrell, Jimmy Shaw and Alec Lucas.
The family would like to thank the staff at Santa Rosa Health & Rehabilitation Center for taking care of our mother and grandmother for the past few years.
