LaVerna Carole Alexander Tucker
Laverna Carole Alexander Tucker, 74, went to be with the Lord on May 2, 2018. She was born in Norfolk, Virginia to her loving parents, Robert W. and Verna Rountry Dyer Alexander on December 21, 1943.
Carole grew up in Miami, FL and enjoyed her beautiful life as a loving wife, mother, and dear friend. She lived in Pensacola, FL for more than 20 years and never wanted to leave; eventually, retiring from the Department of Investigative Services in 2009. She found a family at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Milton and was surrounded by love.
She is now reunited with her parents, Robert W. and Verna Rountry Dyer Alexander; brother, Robert W. Alexander, Jr; sister-in-law, Joan H. Alexander; and son, Anthony Thomas Ryter.
Carole leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband and best friends, James Richard Tucker; children, Gregory Thomas (Kim Perron) Ryter, Sherry Marie (Keith Brian) Ryter- Brown, grandchildren, Tristan Gregory Ryter, Madeline Claire Brown, Gretchen Marie Brown, Helena Camile Brown, DeVonne Lee Ryter; niece, Karen Lynn Alexander (Mark) Hodges and their children, Mark Jr. and Shannon; Nephew Robert W. Alexander, III and his children, Claire and Grace Alexander; and numerous dear friends and family.
A service will be held in honor of Carole’s life at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Milton on May 19, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. The family requests that the dress be casual and to bring lots of warm hugs!
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in honor of Carole’s life.
