Obituary for Joseph Jack Baxter

Joseph Jack  Baxter
Joseph J. “Joe” Baxter, 83, of Pace arrived in Heaven on June 12, 2018, He was a native of Troy, AL but had resided in the Pace area for 25 years.
He was retired from Monsanto Corporation as an Industrial Hygenist and also retired from Boeing Aerospace and Johnson Supply Company.
Joe was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Milton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Head Baxter.
Survivors include: his daughter, Cindy (Mark) Cotton; his son, Jay (Melissa) Baxter; grandchildren: Leslie (John) Brandt, Casey (Shane) Tingstrom, Jennifer Cotton, Gray (Nicolette) Baxter, and Blakeley Baxter; great-grandchildren: Olivia Baxter, Ava Amorelli, Gavin Brandt, Heaven Brandt, and Annabelle Brandt; brother, Albert Max (Joyce) Baxter; and nieces and nephews: Becky (Jeff) Black, Chris Baxter, and Drew (Allison) Baxter.
Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service begins at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Serenity Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Gray Baxter, Max Black, Billy Roberson, Shane Tingstrom, John Brandt, Joel Cannon, Jim Gehrs, and Dan Kennedy.
Honorary Pallbearers: Gerald McArthur, Jeter Brock, Bill Bass, Carl Pearson, and Paul Saba.
In lieu of flowers, Joseph’s family would like to encourage donations to his and Shirley’s church of long standing, Westminster Presbyterian Church, Milton, FL.
