It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hazel Davis Barnes who died in Pensacola, Florida, on August 2, 2018 at the age of 96.
Hazel was born in Pollard, Alabama, on January 3, 1922. She attended McCall School and graduated from Flomaton High School in Flomaton, Alabama. Hazel became a resident of Pensacola in April 1960. She was a member of the East Brent Baptist Church and taught a women’s Sunday school class for many years.
Hazel is survived by her son, Rodney, his wife Maria, and grandchildren Jennifer and Matthew in addition to many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, her husband, C.H. Barnes, and her son, Edward E. Barnes.

A Memorial service will be held for Hazel at East Brent Baptist Church, 4801 North Davis Highway, Pensacola, Florida, on Saturday, August 11 at 1:00P, with Dr. Dale Patterson officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00PM to 1:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to East Brent Baptist Church or Covenant Hospice.
