June 2, 1935 – October 14, 2018
Nancy J. Jarman, 83, of Pensacola, FL passed away Sunday October 14, 2018. Nancy was born in Canroe, Texas to her loving parents, Guy and Ollie Johnson.
When Nancy was ten she moved to Brawley, California where she graduated high school. After moving to San Diego, California she joined the Navy where she met her first husband, James L. Gossett. He was serving on the USS Lexington and they came to Pensacola, FL in 1963. In 1967 he passed tragically in a car accident, together they had three children, Guy, Lisa, and James Troy. In 1968 she married Truman T. Jarman and had one daughter, Brenda Kay.
Nancy resided in her home for 53 years, she loved nothing more than her beautiful children and made them her whole world. She was a true angel to many in her neighborhood. She was a walking testimony to Gods glory, always quick to listen or give a helping hand and never pass judgment. She was loving and caring mother, wife, and person who showed the meaning of love with her actions and kindness.
Nancy is proceeded in death by her first husband, James L. Gossett; her parents, Guy and Ollie Johnson; son, James Troy Gossett; brother, Duane Johnson; and her sister, Crystal Brown.
She leaves to cherish her memories and carry her legacy are her second husband, Truman T. Jarman; children Guy (Patty)L. Gossett, Lisa (Bill) Gerding, Brenda (Richard) Kay Griner; grandchildren, T.J. Gossett, Ryder Gossett, and Erin Arrowood; great grandchild, Madeline Arrowood and a host of extended friend and family.
The family would like to give a special Thank you to her wonderful neighborhood family and to Janet Murray.
A service will take place Friday November 2, 2018 the family will be meeting outside of Barrancas at 10:45a.m. (1 South Navy Blvd) and will have a graveside service at 11:30a.m. at Barrancas National Cemetery. Following the graveside, the family will have a Celebration of Life service at the Family Home.
