Obituary

Lena Vermell Parker, 87, of Pensacola, Florida passed away on April 20, 2021. Lena was born on May 15, 1933 in Enon, Florida to Alvin and Alman Jarman. She was the oldest of three children.

Vermell is preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Alma Jarman; her husband, Henry L Parker Sr; sons, Alvin Coppinger and Ronald Parker; sister, Elaine Palmer.

Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter and son-in-law, Lucy and Steve Douglas; her son and daughter-in-law, David and Debby Parker; her brother, Truman Jarman; nine grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and her first great great-grandchild on the way, as well as multiple nieces and nephews.

She married the love of her life, Henry L Parker Sr, in 1953. Together they spent 45 years of marriage and welcomed four children. She enjoyed fishing and swimming, but her main passion was raising her family and caring for others. She was the grandmother to nine and great grandmother to 19, to her those youngins were her pride and greatest achievement.

She was loved and cherished by all those who had the privilege of meeting her. She always had an open door and was willing to feed you, even if you weren’t hungry. She loved all those she met as if they were family. She would even make sure to order her dog, Bandit, a chicken nugget meal to bring home when she would go out. We will miss your gorgeous smile and your warm comforting hugs. Love you, always.
